The Xtreme Metal Detector is designed with the highest levels of sensitivity to detect small ferrous and non-ferrous metal contaminants down to 0.2mm spheres. Eriez can identify and remove harmful needles, scale, rust, nails, clips, bolts, nuts, staples, shards, stainless steel, aluminium and copper alloys in loose or free-fall processing systems and final packaging lines.

Xtreme Tunnel Detector with Conveyor

Tunnel Detector with Conveyor integrates the high-pressure wash-down Xtreme aperture tunnel with a durable conveyor. These systems can be ordered in a wide range of sizes with a myriad of optional equipment and are available in standard designs from our Quick Ship Program. Some of the main features include:

Xtreme Pharmaceutical

The Xtreme pharmaceutical is designed to inspect tablets and capsules that are gravity fed from the tablet press. This highly sensitive compact designed metal detector system meets stringent FDA standards and accommodates space - restricted areas within tablet and encapsulation rooms. Eriez' pharmaceutical unit has been engineered with an adjustable sensing head and has one of the largest and easiest to clean product chutes in the industry to optimize efficiency. The adjustable support stand comes with casters and is manufactured from 304 stainless steel.

Xtreme Vertical, Form, Fill & Seal (VFS)

The Xtreme Vertical Form, Fill & Seal (VFS) units are designed to mount into space-restricted areas below Vertical Form and Fill machines. With its innovative design, the VFS Metal Detector connects to a customer's existing stainless steel hopper and forming tube with simple Jacobs connectors.

This compact unit requires no metal-free area above or below the sensing head. Its control circuitry allows for instantaneous electronic recovery from phase adjustments, as well as field switchable narrow zone/wide zone detection capabilities. The Eriez VFS Metal Detector is suitable for washdown, and features food grade pipe and stainless steel construction. The VFS is excellent for detection & removal of ferrous, non-ferrous & stainless metal contaminants in products prior to final packaging.

Eriez' Xtreme VFS Metal Detectors meet stringent standards for food processing environments and offer the superior sensitivity customers expect from Eriez - these units can detect millimeter-sized metal spheres.

All VFS Metal Detectors offer the same full color, intuitive icon-driven controls as Eriez' other Xtreme Metal Detector systems. Available in 7.5, 10, 15, 20 and 25.5 centimeter aperture sizes to meet practically any application need.

Xtreme Vertical Low Profile Systems

Eriez’ Xtreme Vertical Drop detectors are engineered for use in gravity free-fall applications. They are constructed of 304 stainless steel and include an Xtreme detector with remotely housed electronics, support plate and diverter valve.

Xtreme Webline

Eriez’ Xtreme Webline metal detectors are engineered for use on web or sheet applications. This unit is particularly effective for detecting metallic contaminants in wide, thin products, such as plastics, rubber, wood, woven materials and particle board. The narrow profile and micro metal-free area of the unit permit it to be installed in areas with limited space and with little isolation of any surrounding equipment.
